Dr. Raaj Singh is from Broomall, just a short drive from Bryn Mawr. After growing up around here he went to college at the University of Delaware where he studied biology then moved to Los Angeles where his career in veterinary medicine started.
He worked for a small animal hospital and volunteered with a few different wildlife programs in the LA area for a few years then went to UC Davis in Northern California for vet school. Davis had a lot to offer both academically and recreationally, which Dr. Singh thoroughly enjoyed, especially after adopting his dog, Rio, who is always down for an adventure. During veterinary school, Dr. Singh pursued a number of externships to explore his interests in both wildlife and companion animal medicine, most notably spending some time at the Philadelphia Zoo.
After veterinary school Dr. Singh followed some friends to Nashville, Tennessee where he practiced at a busy small animal clinic in East Nashville. Dr. Singh has very fond memories of his time in the south. He then moved to Philadelphia where he worked for a short time before finding himself in Bryn Mawr.
In his spare time, Dr. Singh can be found playing sports (like tennis, soccer, and golf), spending time with his dog Rio (she loves camping and hiking), hanging out with his friends in the city (board game nights are his favorite), or visiting his family in Broomall.
Dr. Singh is very excited to meet the Bryn Mawr pet community and help as much as he can!
