Lucas Spurling - Hospital Manager

${name}

Lucas Spurling is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive experience for both pets and their owners. With a background in veterinary leadership, surgery, and exotic animal medicine, he is dedicated to helping build an environment where clients feel heard, supported, and confident in the care their pets receive.

Lucas began his veterinary career working in an exotic animal hospital, where he served as a surgery technician and helped care for a wide variety of unique species including exotic birds, snakes, giant tortoises, porcupines, beavers, and many others. He later became a Lead Veterinary Technician at a high-volume surgical hospital before being promoted into hospital leadership and management roles.

Throughout his career, Lucas has focused on strengthening team culture, improving the client experience, and supporting veterinary teams in delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Growing up around horses and riding for many years also helped shape his lifelong passion for animals and veterinary medicine.

Prior to veterinary medicine, Lucas served in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne Division, where he developed many of the leadership and problem-solving skills he continues to use today.

Outside of work, Lucas enjoys fitness and spending time with his wife and his cat, Pops. He is excited to serve the Harper’s Preserve community and looks forward to building lasting relationships with both clients and their pets.
