Dr. Victoria Cain graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a major in marine biology and started her veterinary career working at the Monterey Bay Aquarium as a Sea Otter neonatal care/rehabilitation volunteer. She then went on to get her veterinary medical doctorate at UC Davis School of Veteirnary Medicine, graduating in 2015. She then completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic. Prior to joining Livewell, Dr. Cain worked as an associate veterinarian at a local general practice/urgent care facility for 10 years.
Her professional interests include internal medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, and preventative care.
Outside of work Dr. Cain enjoys travel, hiking/backpacking, and is not shy about her enthusiasm for Star Wars, Dungeons and Dragons, and video games. She also treasures her time spent with her husband and her female orange cat, Leeloo
