Blood & Lab Tests

Annual blood testing helps us determine a normal baseline for your pet. This allows us to see trends over time and diagnose issues early if they arise. Lab testing can also reveal the presence of certain illnesses or diseases and rule others out. Early detection of disease increases your pet's treatment options (including less expensive options) and recovery outcomes for your pet.

Electrocardiogram (EKG)

An EKG is a painless test used to diagnose cardiac abnormalities, such as an enlarged heart, heart murmur, congestive heart failure, or irregular heart rhythm. EKGs can also help determine if your pet's heart is strong enough to undergo anesthesia and is often used as a pre-surgical test.

Tonometry

Tonometry measures your pet's eye pressure to detect glaucoma, a sight-threatening condition. It involves a painless puff of air or a gentle touch to the pet's eye, and helps our veterinarians develop a treatment plan for the pet's vision.
