Dr. Vaas born and raised in Greeley, Colorado and as a child participated in just about every organized sport possible including: swimming, soccer, baseball, basketball, and golf. He graduated from Greeley West High School and went to College at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado (now Western Colorado University), where he competed intercollegiately for the Men’s Basketball Program and attained his BS in Chemistry.

He originally intended on being a teacher and coach but changed paths after meeting a local veterinarian who sparked an interest in veterinary medicine.

He was accepted to Colorado State University and earned his DVM degree in 2001. Shortly after graduating, he moved with his wife Robyn to Sandy, Utah and began working as an associate and emergency veterinarian.

He still resides in Herriman with his wife Robyn, son Connor, daughter Morgan, and three pets: Olivia, Cooper, and BK.

In his spare time he enjoys hiking and traveling with family, cooking, swimming, and golf.
As a veterinarian, he strives to deliver exceptional medicine, surgery, and preventative care for patients while cultivating strong client relationships through fostered discussion and education allowing owners to make the best decisions for both them and their pets.
