Dr. Ortiz - Veterinarian

Originally born in Los Alamos, New Mexico, Dr. Ortiz moved to Bloomington, Indiana, at a young age. From an early age, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, inspired by the strong bond she has always shared with animals. Before attending veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary assistant for two years, further strengthening her passion for patient care and client relationships.

Dr. Ortiz earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She has a special interest in preventative medicine and wellness care and enjoys partnering with pet owners to help their companions live long, healthy lives. She values collaborative patient care and believes that building strong relationships with clients is an essential part of strengthening the human-animal bond. Dr. Ortiz also has a growing interest in diagnostic ultrasound and looks forward to continuing to expand her skills throughout her career.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ortiz enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and staying active. During veterinary school, she happily "foster failed" and adopted her first cat, Dahlia, who quickly became a beloved part of the family. She is excited to join the team at Livewell Animal Hospital and looks forward to caring for the pets and families in the community.
