Your Pet's First Visit
A pet's first visit to the vet can seem a bit daunting, so we've put together a list of info and resources to help you prepare.
At your first appointment, we will gather information about your pet’s background, health, diet, and training. We can also address any questions or concerns you might have.
Your veterinarian will examine your pet from nose-to-tail, looking for things like heart murmurs, ear infections, and/or parasites. Your vet can also provide pet-proofing tips, training assistance, and parasite protection recommendations.

Appointment Policies
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your pet's appointment for check-in. If you have not filled out all relevant patient forms yet, plan to arrive 10 minutes ahead of your appointment.
While we do our best to make sure all of our patients are seen on time, there will be times of occasional unexpected delay due to an emergency or because we are providing care for a patient that needs a little more time. Please accept our apologies should this occur, and understand that the same dedication and courtesy will be provided to your pet should they ever need it.

I brought my dog here on a friend's recommendation and I'm so glad I did. The front staff was incredibly welcoming and empathetic from the moment we walked in. The vet took the time to explain different care options clearly, which I really appreciated. My dog was anxious during the visit, but the vet and staff were so gentle and patient- they really made sure he felt comfortable the entire time. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm grateful for the level of care they provided. Highly recommend!

I brought my dog in for a concern about her eye. The vet was thorough and thoughtful, resolved the problem quickly. They were very sweet with her and explained thoroughly and gave a clear estimate! Parking is easy and the office is very nice and clean!

We love Dr. Rivas and moved here to stay with him! Parking is easy. Either right behind or a parking garage. He's compassionate and smart and loves what he does. Highlight recommend. The staff are also kind and easy to schedule and punctual with appt. time. They also have a lot of in house equipment to be able to run tests if needed so you don't need to go elsewhere.
