Dr. Catherine McKenzie is originally from Montgomery, Alabama and is excited to begin her veterinary career serving the pets and families of the Huntersville community.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tuskegee University before receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2026. As the newest member of the team, Dr. McKenzie is passionate about building strong relationships with clients, making every visit a positive experience, and treating each patient with the same care she would want for her own pets. Her professional interests include feline medicine and diagnostic imaging.
At home, Dr. McKenzie is kept on her toes by her two cats, August and Iris, who have plenty of personality and never fail to make her laugh. They remind her every day why she loves caring for animals.
When she's not at the hospital, Dr. McKenzie enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, getting lost in a good book, and winding down with a favorite TV show. Fun fact: she loves visiting zoos and aquariums whenever she travels and is always excited to learn about different animal species.
