Dr. Katarina Fielding, BVMS MRCVS, is a small animal veterinarian who believes great veterinary care begins with compassion, trust, and understanding.
Raised on Long Island, New York, in a first-generation Italian American family, she was taught the values of hard work, close family ties, and caring for others—principles that guide her approach to medicine every day.
She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine and brings broad experience in general practice, surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, emergency, and preventive care. With special interests in animal behavior and pain management, Dr. Fielding focuses on creating calm, low-stress experiences and keeping pets comfortable at every stage of life. She is certified in RECOVER CPR (BLS & ALS) and is deeply passionate about teaching and mentoring future veterinarians.
Dr. Fielding founded Dr. Katarina’s Threads and Treats, a woman-owned small business that began as a creative outlet and grew into a reflection of her love for craftsmanship, connection, and community. That same creativity and attention to detail carry into the care she provides her patients.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Fielding’s world centers around her family—her partner Mark Anthony, their daughter Karissa, their cats Ronnie and Sammi, and their dog Cashew. As both a veterinarian and a pet owner, she understands how deeply pets are woven into family life and strives to treat every patient as if they were her own.
