Dr. Taylor Emery - Veterinarian

I am originally from both Illinois and Tampa, FL.

I currently reside in Riverview, FL. I attended college on basketball scholarships to Tulane University my freshman year, Gulf Coast State College my sophomore year where I obtained an associate degree in communications, and Virginia Tech my junior and senior year where I graduated in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in creative writing. I then took 2 gap years to play basketball professionally in the WNBA with the Minnesota Lynx and overseas in both Poland and Israel. Right after retiring from basketball, I started a streetwear clothing brand called MerakiTay early 2021 and started Veterinary school in the fall of 2021. I graduated from Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2025, and I have been running MerakiTay throughout vet school and even now! I have a partner and two crazy fun labrador retrievers at home. It's both a calm and chaotic home!

When I am not doing veterinary medicine or working MerakiTay, I am reading, exercising, content creating, boating, longboarding, traveling (I have been to 7 different countries in 6 years!), and trying lots of new food! A few fun facts about me are that I can juggle and make a dolphin noise. Although, I haven't tried both together quite yet!

What are you looking forward to most?

I look forward to learning so much. There's so much information and I'm excited to not only use what I learned in school, but to also learn on the job from my colleagues as well! I am also excited for forging relationships with clients, owners, and my coworkers!
