Your Pet's First Visit
A pet's first visit to the vet can seem a bit daunting, so we've put together a list of info and resources to help you prepare.
At your first appointment, we will gather information about your pet’s background, health, diet, and training. We can also address any questions or concerns you might have.
Your veterinarian will examine your pet from nose-to-tail, looking for things like heart murmurs, ear infections, and/or parasites. Your vet can also provide pet-proofing tips, training assistance, and parasite protection recommendations.

Appointment Policies
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your pet's appointment for check-in. If you have not filled out all relevant patient forms yet, plan to arrive 10 minutes ahead of your appointment.
While we do our best to make sure all of our patients are seen on time, there will be times of occasional unexpected delay due to an emergency or because we are providing care for a patient that needs a little more time. Please accept our apologies should this occur, and understand that the same dedication and courtesy will be provided to your pet should they ever need it.

We took our 16 year old pup to Livewell Falls Church and had a great experience. As a medical professional myself, I truly appreciated the efficiency of Dr. Galvan and her staff, they made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They even called ahead of time to obtain and review prior medical records, which made our discussion during the visit much easier and more productive. Dr. Galvan put us at ease right away, and we left feeling confident that our senior pup is in very good hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new veterinarian, especially if they’ve been unhappy elsewhere. Pricing was also very reasonable

Dr. Galvan has been taking care of our dogs for years and we were thrilled to find her at the newly opened Livewell Falls Church practice. Whether it is a routine exam or a more serious visit, Dr. Galvan always takes time to listen to your concerns and creates a care plan that feels personalized to your pet’s needs and medical history. We’ve had some medically-complex dogs over the years and we’ve always felt confident and supported in the care that Dr. Galvan provides. She is incredibly knowledgeable, transparent and kind—both to pets and their owners! The whole LiveWell team, from front desk to techs, made us feel welcomed and helped to make our dog feel at-ease during the visit. Livewell Falls Church has convenient garage parking and the office is updated and clean. There are amenities to help pets and their people feel comfortable while they wait and the exam rooms were very spacious. We look forward to future visits at Livewell Falls Church!

We came here to follow our existing vet, Dr. Galvan, and had our first appointment shortly after opening. The space is brand new and well done, very bright, spacious, and inviting. The staff are incredibly kind and they are going above and beyond to provide a special service rather than what other vet offices have felt like. Our pup had her name on a little chalkboard to welcome her and at the conclusion of the visit, received a little pup cup that she promptly gobbled down. The visit wasn't rushed, all of our concerns and questions were answered thoroughly, prices are beyond reasonable, and the cost was extremely reasonable. We will definitely continue bringing our dogs here!
